Programmable Electric Radiators | 7-Day Timer & Thermostat
Programmable electric radiators give you precise control over when your heating comes on and off — setting different temperatures for different times of day, across every day of the week. This means you only heat rooms when they are actually occupied, reducing wasted energy and lowering your electricity bills without sacrificing comfort.
Programmable Electric Radiators — Heat When You Need It
Every electric radiator we stock includes programmable controls as standard, with 7-day scheduling, precise digital thermostats, and energy-saving modes including frost protection and open-window detection. Many models also offer optional WiFi app control, allowing you to adjust schedules remotely from your phone.
Available in wattages from 500W to 2500W from brands including Vanguard, DigiLine, and Aeroflow. All models connect to a standard 13A supply. Free UK delivery on all orders.

The single biggest factor in electric radiator running costs is not the wattage — it is how long the radiator runs at full output. A well-programmed 2000W radiator that only runs when needed will cost considerably less to operate than a poorly managed 1500W model that runs continuously. Programmable controls put you in charge of that runtime.
7-Day Scheduling Explained
A 7-day programmable electric radiator allows you to set different heating schedules for each day of the week — reflecting your real routine rather than applying the same on/off times every day. Set the bedroom radiator to come on at 6:30am on weekdays but stay off until 8am on weekends. Set the living room to heat during evening hours only. Each radiator operates independently, so you are never heating rooms you are not using.
Programmable vs WiFi-Controlled: What's the Difference?
Programmable electric radiators set schedules directly on the unit via an onboard display. WiFi-controlled radiators do everything a programmable model does, but also allow remote control from a smartphone app — useful if your routine changes or if you want to adjust heating while away from home. Many of our models offer both: onboard programming plus optional WiFi connection. See our WiFi Electric Radiators category for models with full app control.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I set different temperatures for different times of day?
Yes — most programmable electric radiators allow you to set a comfort temperature for occupied periods and a setback temperature for when rooms are empty.
Do programmable electric radiators use less electricity?
Programming alone does not reduce wattage, but it reduces the hours the radiator operates at full output — which is what determines your running cost.
