Smartpanel Electric Radiators
Smartpanel is an electric heater with very fast heat up times. Essentially a panel heater or convector heater but with radiator looks and premium control features.
A very high quality extruded aluminium element provides the heat. Predominantly convection heat with a little radiant heat passed to the heater surface.
Each Smartpanel has a built in digital electronic thermostat and weekly programming control. Energy saving features include open window sensing and adaptive start learning function. An energy use monitor is also built in as standard.
Constructed of steel and powder coated so will never discolour and will never need painting. Wall mounting brackets are provided. Just needs plugging in to a standard socket. Ideal as a whole house heating system or to just heat one room.

Yes, they make a great replacement for storage heaters and will provide the temperature and timing control that storage heaters are missing. Electric radiators do not store heat, but provide the heat when you want it instead. You will need to change from Economy 7 tariff to a standard tariff.
Yes, the brackets are always provided to mount the radiators to the wall. Optionally, castors may be available for some ranges to free-stand. The power required is a standard 13amp and so the electric radiators can either be plugged in or wired in to a fused spur.
An electrician may be required to wire in to a fused spur.
The running cost of electric radiators will depend on how much you pay for your electricity, how well insulated your house is, how high you set the thermostat and how many hours per day you need heating.

They can be used with economy 7 but we don’t recommend it. Because the radiators are direct acting and give greater control and comfort, they need to use electricity when required. On Economy 7 the electricity is cheaper overnight but typically more expensive at other times.
